Since 2021, Jolene has been involved in education as an edupreneur and consultant. In 2022, she founded VisionEd Consultation Inc.
With her diverse experience gained over more than 20 years spent in schools in both rural and urban areas - as a technology teacher, homeroom teacher, learning support teacher, numeracy mentor, language facilitator, assistant principal, instructional coach (digital pedagogy and education reimagined), and principal - she has a deep understanding of the education system and the importance of its transformation.
She remains on the lookout for anything that can enhance education. She embraces change with purpose and ambition.
Her primary goal in everything she undertakes is to foster synergy rather than working in silos, thereby promoting authentic and continuous learning opportunities that have a positive impact on the well-being and success of young people and adults as whole individuals, and consequently, a positive impact on the world.
She prioritizes the implementation of meaningful educational initiatives, particularly through the connections forged in international relations. As a key partner in New Brunswick, Canada, she coordinates various innovative projects at the local, provincial, national, and international levels. She works closely with various key individuals and organizations, including members of ministries, education boards, and school districts, educators, university professors, communities, parents, and of course students, as well as various internal and external partners, from both public and private sectors.
Furthermore, Jolene collaborates in the development of policies and guidelines, as well as the development of tools and platforms that serve to inform, train, and engage stakeholders in a simple and effective manner, to enhance educational effectiveness.
Jolène holds several certifications, including a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS), and Performance Excellence Management System. She has a BACHELOR's degree in Technology - BACHELOR's degree in Education (major in Industrial Technology), a teaching certification, a MASTER's degree in Education (concentration in Teaching, Learning, and Assessment), and a certificate in School Administration.
She is involved in educational initiatives worldwide that enable her to utilize her creativity to be part of the solutions.
